Special volunteer opportunities for 2010

1. Prayer Corps. Prayer Corps volunteers commit to pray five minutes every day for those in need of safe, decent, affordable housing and for the Habitat for Humanity family that becomes their partner. Each week, Prayer Corps members receive an email update of new prayer petitions as well as developments on matters for which they have been praying. 2. Partner Family Task Force. The Partner Family Task Force is a team of volunteers who work to find, prepare, and support the 2010 Class of Habitat for Humanity homeowners in Oakland County. These volunteers both refer homeowner candidates to Habitat for Humanity and provide coaching and encouragement as they make the biggest transition of their lives. 3. Event / hospitality volunteers. These volunteers help plan and manage events that support the Building on Faith and Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity campaigns. These events include groundbreaking and dedication ceremonies, Building on Faith Week, Building on Faith Week Opening Ceremony, and Building on Faith Sunday. See the complete calendar to the right.
