17th Annual Kurt Ketelsen Memorial Dinner to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County
February 10 @ 6:00 pm
The event honors Kurt Ketelsen, who passed away in 2005 following a lifelong battle with Type 1 diabetes. As a child, Kurt was always drawn to building projects. As he grew older he often worked with his dad and grandfather in the family construction business. He became a journeyman carpenter and a licensed contractor. Kurt and his wife, Carol, were active volunteers with Americorp and participated in building projects in Pontiac to assist disadvantaged families.
Following Kurt’s death, his family chose to remember his birthday, February 10th, by supporting Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County. Family dinners and game nights have been held at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church since 2007, raising funds for Habitat.
The event will take place on Friday, February 10th at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church 1550 Walton Blvd. Rochester Hills, 48309. The event will be catered with a Mexican buffet style dinner.
Guests are asked to donate according to their desire to support Habitat Oakland. Donations gratefully accepted at the door. Make checks payable to Abiding Presence Lutheran Church with “Habitat” on the memo line. If you cannot attend and would still like to donate, simply send your check to Abiding Presence Lutheran Church!
