It’s time for the 9th Annual Huron Corridor Earth Day Clean Up! Every year, volunteers mobilize to complete neighborhood beautification activities, such as picking up trash, cleaning sidewalks, and making basic improvements along the street.
The event was founded by Micah 6 Community, and this year, Habitat Oakland is excited to join the initiative to showcase a collaborative spirit to advance complementary missions. Micah 6 Community and Habitat Oakland both participate in the Beloved Community Coalition, which is grounded in the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and seeks to build a communal table where nonprofits can share their needs and resources to create more diverse and inclusive volunteer opportunities.
Snacks and water will be provided, but feel free to bring gloves, rakes, or flathead shovels.
You can register to volunteer on Habitat’s volunteer database, available at the bottom of this page.
We look forward to seeing you there!
