Local American Legion representatives helped dedicate the Springfield Twp home of US Army Veteran Shannon Chatman.

US Army Veteran Monica Munir is assisted at her Hazel Park house by Trevarrow employees.

US Air Force Veteran Tony Hunt received the keys to his home along with an American Flag from the Auburn Hills Army Recruiting Center.

Habitat Oakland County’s Veteran Housing Initiative is our way of responding to the growing number of veterans returning home from service and struggling to access safe housing and support services. This program also is designed to help long-term military families, individuals and spouses with similar struggles.

Our staff has built relationships with veteran support organizations throughout Southeastern Michigan and is working to better serve this population through homeownership, minor home repairs through our Rock the Block program, financial counseling and support, and hands-on training of basic construction skills.
