GivingTuesday 2020

GivingTuesday is on December 1, 2020!

Created in 2012, GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities. At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others.

GivingTuesday’s messages of hope, connection, and community have never been more needed – the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the housing crisis that we’ve been fighting since our inception. The need of our neighbors has never been more pronounced.

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, one in eight households in Michigan were paying half or more of their income on a place to live. As the significant economic impacts of COVID-19 continue to unfold, the number of families struggling to make ends meet is only growing.

Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County is ready to build back – build security and stability, reconnect communities, create hope – but we need your help.

When a home is safe, stable and affordable, individuals and families can stop moving frequently and put down roots in their community. Putting down roots and investing in communities helps entire neighborhoods grow and become safer for everyone.

For 25 years, Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County has brought people together to build homes, communities and hope. Now more than ever, we need you.

This Giving Tuesday, join us in helping families and communities build back. Your donation on December 1 will help to ensure that everyone in Oakland County can know the strength, stability and self-reliance decent and affordable shelter provides. It is the power of people like you that transforms communities.
