In light of yesterday’s news from Habitat for Humanity Detroit, we want to ensure our homebuyers, future homebuyers, donors, volunteers and employees that Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County and our ReStores of Oakland County remain in healthy operation. Each local affiliate works with an independent board of directors, staff and budget to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter in their own market.
Our goal is to support Ken Cockrel, Jr., Habitat for Humanity Detroit’s Executive Director, as he and their board of directors determine next steps for the Detroit affiliate.
