Volunteers are the heart and soul of Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County. Join the 2,000 volunteers who contribute more than 15,000 hours each year supporting local families in their affordable housing journey as they gain strength, stability and self-reliance!
Whether you’re an individual, corporate team, community/faith-based group, or just a handful of friends, there are many different ways for you to volunteer in our county. And you don’t need to have any particular skill-set. We’ll show you what to do!
We recommend you take a look at our different type of opportunities to find which is the best fit for you!

Put your office skills to good use. We can always use help around the office, from answering phones to filing to data entry. Click here to volunteer in our offices.
The Habitat Oakland County ReStores are non-profit, home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently-used furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price for the benefit of our mission. ReStore volunteer tasks can include: organizing inventory, pricing merchandise, assisting customers, stocking shelves, etc. We have two ReStore locations (Pontiac and Farmington Hills) looking for volunteers – Click here to volunteer at either of our ReStores.
